Default The SAS Spirit

It has become apparent that SAS has become a little deserted, having listened to many peoples opinions over the last few weeks its clear that SAS is not what it once was. I think I speak on behalf of everyone in the clan when I say that no one wants to see this clan fade away like many others we have seen over time.

We have had some problems but one thing I have noticed is that not one person has lost the SAS spirit. This situation has already sparked some good ideas for the future... some regular members on TS have already played 2 matches on Day of Defeat Source, and its looking good. Coldblue has also expressed an interest in starting a Starcraft 2 squad/group... a game that is showing more and more potential, being the next big RTS.

So... it is really important what our delicate membership thinks about the current situation. What would you like to see happen with SAS at this moment in time... What is on your mind... How do you feel right now about SAS.

If any one of you think you can get a squad started in a game that is widley played then please speak up... Let us get back in the gaming scene.

Please respond to this thread with your thoughts and lets light a fire under SAS and get it going better than ever!

New members required.

That means we have to make an effort to get at least one game going, keep that game's server busy, and build from there. It needs to be something popular and not flash-in-the-pan, to make sure of the greatest possible chance of success.

Also, we should have the people who *are* still SAS playing games together more, whether it's Starcraft II or the original C&C it doesn't matter. What matters is that then there's a reason to belong.

IMHO. :-)

It is sad to say that SAS is slowly dying as we have nearly lots all of our severs such as our DODS normal, zombie mod and hideNseek mod. Also we now have less than half of our original members still here...many have gone including Fyre and Hector to name but a few.
The cure, is to start a few popular games that we all like and start recruiting more friendly members again. I think COH or even Starcraft may be those games however i am not sure every1 in SAS likes RTS games. Therefore we should also consider a FPS like DODS.
By the way gj Gore on organising the DODS macthes

Yep, not the biggest fan of RTS games (or even all that good at them ).
If we can get a single server for TF2, and then a single server for DoDS, the should cover us on the FPS front (although could be rounded out with CSS as well).

I've spoken to Manco and I'll be putting together a new competitive tf2 squad. TF2 will be back up and running soon!

It's going to be a relatively low skill team (div5) with the express intention of creating a close knit team of players who are going to stick around and improve/progress together. Send me a message if you are interested

You can always hit me up on steam when you're planning a dods match. Nice to see more and more old SAS players joining the THVC server

That would have been my brother Whenever steam says I'm playing BF BC2 it's my bro

Friendly fire off is one of the best things on the server! Especially when there's 32 people on it, it can be a right pain in the ass imo. Also the instant respawn is great.
